Job Description
Hydra X is looking for a Finance Manager to join our Operations team in Singapore. You will play a key role in overseeing all accounting and finance-related matters, along with monitoring performance of the company, producing month-end reports and helping to prepare the annual budget. The ideal candidate would have spent time at a Big 4 accounting firm or experience in corporate finance work. You will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and work closely with members from other functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Hybrid role managing finance operations, budgeting and forecasting activities
- Responsible for day-to-day financial and accounting operations within the company which may include vendor payments, AR & AP entries, intercompany entries, bank reconciliation, revenue billing, capital expenditures and other transactions
- Monitoring client accounts and ensuring all invoicing is done promptly
- Overseeing all accounting and book-keeping for the group and preparing consolidated group accounts
- Manage month-end closing activities which include preparing detailed consolidated management accounts in accordance with accounting standards (P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements) for internal and external stakeholders
- Manage all tax-related matters and statutory reporting requirements such as GST reporting, transfer pricing and corporate tax, etc
- Preparing annual budget and monitoring budget performance
- Cash management and cashflows planning
- Liaising with external auditors, accountants and outsourced vendors where required
- Preparing applications for local government grants
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and/or CA/CPA qualified
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, ideally if you have prior experience at “Big Four” accounting firms and corporate experience is preferred
- Self-starter who excels in fast-paced, high growth and dynamic environment
- Possess the ability to thrive within a start-up environment
- Process-oriented and passionate to build templates from scratch
- Highly motivated and proactive with strong ability to execute
- Team player, proactive, organized, hands-on and meticulous
- Comfortable with Xero accounting software and Google Suite
- Good oral and written skills, able to communicate effectively
